THEMES: ART e FACT is a sci-fi intrigue about the effect of creativity and criticism on an authoritarian society. The narratives explore moral issues around artificial intelligence, synthetic biology and political rule.
SYNOPSIS: In a world where technology and knowledge sharing are tightly controlled, a disheartened songwriter finds an unexpected path to healing through her new role as an art curator. Tasked with researching a mysterious comic book hero, she discovers parallels between the character’s journey and her own struggles. As she delves deeper into the hero’s mythology, she experiences a profound personal awakening, rediscovering her artistic voice and inner strength.
However, her investigation doesn’t go unnoticed. Soon, she’s caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, pursued by government agents, anarchists, a secret society, and a fanatical cult – all seeking to control the comic hero’s powerful legacy. Navigating this complex web of intrigue, she must stay one step ahead of her pursuers while piecing together the truth behind the mythical figure.
With each revelation about the comic hero, she finds new inspiration for her music and a growing courage to challenge the status quo. As the lines between art, myth, and reality blur, she realises that her curative journey has become a symphony of self-discovery, creativity, and defiance against a system that fears the transformative power of art.
